"In the early days we didn't have all the fancy "squadron memorablia" mainly because we were a top secret unit and maintained a very low profile around the base and Vegas. We had a 'gold credit card' when it came to getting what we needed. The pilots all got custom painted helmets (gray, and later metallic black) from Flight Suits Ltd, and this sort of started the trend of getting scarves from them. I think it was much later before we got them from other sources." - former unit member

Collector Notes
F-117A scarf use has been simplified on this page. The 4450th Tactical Group scarves were worn through the first couple of years of the 37th Tactical Fighter Wing era and the 37th TFW scarves were used during the early F-117A operations at Holloman AFB.
